I love the faces that Picasso painted. Makes me wonder did he really
see people like this or did he distort their faces as he painted to see
what he would come up with in the end. I find them very humorous!
I made a lot of changes to these funny ladies to give them a spin
of my humor on top of Picasso's This one made me laugh the whole
time I was painting it. Love him!
Enjoy

Picasso was a Spanish painter, draughtsman, and sculptor. He is one of the most recognized figures in 20th-century art. He is best known for co-founding the Cubist movement and for the wide variety of styles embodied in his work.

Picasso demonstrated uncanny artistic talent in his early years, painting in a realistic manner through his childhood and adolescence; during the first decade of the twentieth century his style changed as he experimented with different theories, techniques, and ideas. Picasso creativity manifested itself in numerous mediums, including oil paintings, sculpture, drawing, and architecture. His revolutionary artistic accomplishments brought him universal renown and immense fortunes throughout his life, making him the best-known figure in twentieth century art.
To say that Pablo Picasso dominated Western art in the 20th century is, by now, the merest commonplace. Before his 50th birthday, the little Spaniard from Malaga had become the very prototype of the modern artist as public figure. No painter before him had had a mass audience in his own lifetime.

Thanks so much Steve

I was compelled to paint this painting when I heard the story
about How this painting was suddenly discovered in an attic
and just sold for almost one million dollars. How cool!

I saw this composition immediately when I read the story.
It was found in an attic so I thought ir would be a great idea
to do the painting as if it were painted in an attic with Mr Owl
posing for his portrait. I had a great time with this one.
Enjoy

The White Owl

William James Webbe (fl.1853-1878), The White Owl, '
Alone and warming his five wits, The white owl in the belfry sits

Jane Cordery, an art teacher in Hampshire, discovered the detailed bird portrait in her attic after attempting to clean the space for a plumber. She'd never seen the ornate owl, but the painting's intricate brushwork caught her eye and she decided to e-mail a photograph of the find to Christie's auction house..
The U.K. woman contacted Christie's auction house whose experts came back with the title "The White Owl," a known work by pre-Raphaelite artist William James Webbe, and a value of £70,000 ($113,449).
Famed 19th century art critic John Ruskin described the very painting as "a careful study" with excellent brown wings.
Last week, the owl painting soared to £589,250 ($951,050) to the amazement of Cordery and her partner, James Ravenscroft, who says the artwork was a long-forgotten gift from his mother.
