Painting My World Frida Kahlo by k Madison Moore

Painting My World
Inspired by Frida Kahlo

16 x 20 x 2 Oil on Gallery Wrapped Canvas Panel

For more info Click HERE

Frida spent so much time alone that she painted
many portraits of herself. With this in mind I got
the idea for this composition- Painting My World.
I can see her in her bed with paint all over her.
Just to mention, the hand earrings were made for her
by Picasso for her first exhibit in Paris. I just bought
my first pair :)

This is a beautiful large oil painting on archival canvas panel.
It is 16 x 20 x 2, the sides are painted  so no frame is needed.
It is wired and ready to hang and comes with a Certificate
of Appraisal. A lovely original oil painting for a Frida Collector.

A Cozy Place for Frida by k Madison Moore

A Cozy Place for Frida
Inspired by Frida Kahlo

I painted a similar painting to this awhile ago but I have
discontinued the image in my shop. It was very popular
so I decided to use the same room but changed out a lot
of the elements such as the paintings on the wall. I actually
like this one much better as these are s few of Frida's favorite
things. This is a nice new Cozy Place for Frida.

Since Frida's birthday is July 6th I decided that for the month

of June up to Frida's birthday I will honor her with new paintings
so stop back soon.

Forever Frida Series

24 x 24 Oil Painting on Canvas

Sold

I painted this for Frida's 110th birthday last year. I wanted to honor her as I do every year on her birthday but last year was a special Year. There were so many festivals and other celebrations in LA and all over the world. She was a special lady, a special person and a special artist that did not live
long. Sometimes I feel cheated. Image what she would have done had she lived a longer life.
Here she is giving thought to all that happened to her in her short life. She will always be special to me. She has inspired me and is my muse. Thank you Frida Kahlo.

Frida's birthday is July 6th so I will be creating new paintings the entire month of June up to Frida's birthday for my Forever Frida Series. Stop by my blog or shop and check out the series. Shop

Fridas Bedroom Oil Painting by k Madison Moore

Frida's Bedroom
 Inspired by Frida Kahlo
©kMadisonMoore

Frida spent years in bed from her horrific accident. Her father made her and easel to use in bed while she was recovering.
A big mirror was installed over her bed so she could see herself.
She painted mostly self portraits and this is why.....

I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know best.

Welcome to My Jungle Again by k Madison Moore

Welcome to My Jungle Again
Inspired by Rousseau

Fine Art Giclee Prints in Various Sizes Available Here

Commissions Projects Welcome

I loved to do puzzles when I was a kid.
Once in awhile you would see a photo with
several hidden elements in it that you had to find.
I would not give up until I found every single one.

I really like Henri Rousseau and his funny animals
and jungle paintings. I did a lot of research on his
work for this composition. See if you can find the 35
animals that are in this painting. I had a blast painting
this one but with all of the details it was never ending.

This a fun animal art print
for everyone, kids and adults and surely a great
conversation piece.
Have fun!

Lovers Lane - Bella My Love Forever / Painting Inspired by Marc Chagall by k Madison Moore

Lovers Lane - Bella My Love Forever
©kMadisonMoore

Painting with The Masters Series

12 x 22 x 2 Marc Chagall Lovers Oil Painting on Canvas

I remember seeing Marc Chagall at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the 80’s. I fell
in love right there. I kept feeling the urge to touch the paintings. They drew me in. The canvases  were huge, romantically lit and full of emotion and passion. I had a head set
on explaining each painting as we moved through the exhibit. I was overwhelmed with inspiration and had tears in my eyes at the end of the exhibit. That week,
I saw the exhibit four times.

Marc’s love for Bella is a true love story and will surely be one of the best.  She was his muse and inspired him forever even after her death. This painting is all about Bella and Marc and portrays how they felt about each other.  Excerpts are my impressions of
Marc and Bella from his work as they float through Lovers Lane.

Marc Zakharovich Chagall  6 July 24 June] 1887 – 28 March 1985) was a Russian French Artist- An early modernist, he was associated with several major artistic styles and created works in virtually every artistic medium, including painting, book illustrations, stained glass, stage sets, ceramic, tapestries and fine art prints.

After he married Bella the lovers  sought each other, embraced, caressed, floated through the air, met in wreaths of flowers and loved each other for life.

Bella swiftly became Marc’s muse and continued to visit his canvases for the rest of his life. Famously,  he often depicted himself and Bella flying together, as if their shared joy had such physical force it countermanded the law of gravity itself.

The Blue Sky in this painting represents the color of Mar’s eyes:

Bella’s influence never went away – it permeated everything he did even 20 years after her death. In her memoirs, Bella wrote of their first meeting: “I was surprised at his eyes, they were so blue as the sky … I’m lowering my eyes. Nobody is saying anything. We both feel our hearts beating.”

Until her death, Bella appeared in some of his most famous works, including “Bella with White Collar,” 1917 which is in the back ground of this painting nearest to the blue sky.
Though Chagall remarried in 1952, his second wife, Valentina Brodsky, rarely appeared in his work, and Bella continued to act as his “Inspirer”—his lifelong muse.

This is a beautiful video of Marc and Bella

Praying for a Miracle - Frida Kahlo Portrait by k Madison Moore

Praying for a Miracle - Frida Kahlo
Forever Frida Series

16 x 20 oil on Canvas

Before Frida Kahlo reached her 25th birthday, she had contracted polio, survived a horrific bus accident and endured a traumatic miscarriage. However, the loss of her baby — compounded by the alienation she was experiencing shaped her artistic vision and propelled her career forward.

Her miscarriage and unfulfilled desire to have a child became a major theme of her work.

The miscarriage also influenced Rivera to change a panel of one of his murals that he was painting at the time. Instead of an agricultural scene the panel shows a baby inside the bulb of a plant.

'She felt so disheartened because she would have loved to have a little Diego, but her dream did not come true.

I wanted this Frida composition to be a combination of Frida and Diego since the child would have been theirs.

What about the ever forgotten idea of books? Does anyone take
the time anymore to actually pick up a book and read it?  Do you own one?

There is still nothing like the feeling of the paper pages with words and photos
relaying a story. Technology is great but so were the simple times when we all read
books. Someone was here "Studying Kandinsky" maybe using this computer a bit

but also reading books. Love to include them in my paintings. Enjoy!
